Engineered Equipment Mechanical Line Pipe Laboratory

The mechanical division of OMC was created in response to a need for accurate, timely, and well recorded processing for line pipe as recommended by API 5L. OMC provides verified inspection processing for all inspection methods deployed before, during, and after job completions. OMC does not conduct cold work or de-dent pipe as those are not acceptable procedures in accordance with API Standards, or by owners/end users.

Mechanical inspeciton includes but is not limited to the following:

Ovality checks
Bevel angle and land/face checks
UTT wall depth checks
Straightness/Camber checks
End hook checks
I.D. trim groove height and depth issues
Offset weld seam issues
End squareness issues

Mechanical Inspection Goals:

The goal for OMC is to elevate the mechanical inspection being delivered and alleviate the issues, while coupling that with great communication to our clients. In this manner the industry will benefit due to proper evaluations, interpretations, and reporting.
